Prophet Sall-Allahu alaihi wa sallam said:
"All of you are shepherds, and each one is responsible for his flock.
A leader of people is a shepherd over this family, and he is responsible for his flock.
A woman is like a shepherd over her husband's house and children, and she is responsible for them.
And a slave is a guardian of his master's property and is responsible for it.
So all of you are guardians and are responsible for your charges." Al- Bukhari and Muslim.

My Misery

When is it going to end? The developer told us, when we were about to book a unit of the apartment, that the house will be completed in August 2008. Again, when we asked them sometime this year when we made a payment for utility meters deposits, they told us it's going to complete end of August or September. And as I've mentioned in my previous post, the progress seems to be very convincing that it'll be completed as what was estimated.

During last Ramadhan, on our way to raya shopping, hubs, kids & I went there to have a peek at the latest development. Everything looks pretty much the same except for some pillars sticking out from the ground in front of the unit facing the highway. It looked as if they were about to build something there. When we still haven't heard from them for quite sometimes, I asked hubs to give them a call to asked when are we going to get the key? They said end of the year. I was really shocked. According to hubs, they are still waiting for cf.

Being me, very unsatisfied with the reasons, I called them up after about a month later. I got the same answer; still waiting for cf. And I asked them again why they haven't got the cf yet? Is it because of the pillars? Why are the pillars there? The lady said, there were something wrong with the contractors. I asked her again, isn't it supposed to complete by September the latest. She said it's just an estimation and that I should check the SPA..blah..blah..blah… Argh!!!

Just a few days back, we went there again (we kinda desperate to move out from the in-law's, you see), and saw a very big & deep hole at the same place as the pillars only this time the pillars are not in sight. The back gate was ajar so hubs went in. From inside the car, I saw 2 (looks like) Bangladeshi workers. One was reading a newspaper and the other one was checking his face on a handheld mirror. I saw hubs talked to one of them as the other one was still occupied with the mirror. When hubs returned to the car, I eagerly waited for him to tell me what he has found out. It seems that, they had to redo the sewerage hole all over again! We assumed, the previous one must've not compile with the specification. According to the construction worker, it'll be completed in a month (if the workers are not busy with himself, methink).

Sigh! Looks like I just have to bear for another month!

Mia v.s. Hanim

I just need to spill some beans here today. I've pre-blog this on my pc using this. I hope it's not too boring. Here goes....

My eldest daughter is very stingy when it comes to her belongings even to her own sister. She will not share unless if she wants to. Of course, being her mom, I'm not happy with that. I tried to persuade her to share, especially to her own sister. Nevertheless, I think she has her own reason for doing that. She doesn't want her books or toys to go missing, torn apart or broken. But that annoying brat just love to take her toys or books if she saw it lying around the house. Upon seeing that, my girl will come up to me crying because she wants whatever that brat took back. Sometimes I'll be angry with Mia because it was her fault for letting her things lying around when she knows that brat will simply grab. But other times, it wasn't her who took it out. Sometimes it was her sister who took it out. And there were times when that brat, dgn muka tak tau malu, went into MY bedroom and grab my kid's toys.

Mia will keep on crying until she gets her thing back while I'll be in a serba salah position (but more to geram dgn budak tu). Upon seeing this, MIL, yg konon2 nyer nak come to the rescue, will try to persuade the brat to give it back to Mia (when she knows by heart that the brat will not give it back because the brat will always get what she wants and she knows the nenek will give whatever she wants!). When the persuasion fail, MIL will say to Mia to let her play for a while. Do you think she'll agree? Of course not. It's her toys. Then MIL will say a lot of thing like 'kakak ni kedekut' or 'lain kali jgn bawa keluar brg'. Come on la, she's your granddaughter too ok.

Ok now, let's see the same situation but in a different view, shall we? My other daughter loves to take that brat's toys. See, her things lg la byk bersepah kat luar. Marsya's favs are her mcm-lego-but-not-lego toys and her car. Padahal, Marsya has her own fisher price car but I don't know why she just love that brat's car yg dah tercabut sane sini. Ok so when she saw marsya is holding her toys or riding her car, previously, she will try to grab her things back even by hurting marsya. Things that she had done to marsya, grab her collar, push her down, pull her car until marsya fell to the ground and mcm2 lagi ok. Sometimes, she'll just simply do all that to marsya for no reason too. Recently, everytime she came near to marsya, I'll just stare (read: bukak/jegil mata besar2) at her. When she tried to do something fishy, I'll just raised my voice a bit and warn her not to do that. Just the other day, she pushed marsya down from a sofa right in front of me (so berani nak mampus!). I couldn't help it but to slap her hands and say loudly "kenapa tolak dia!". I was the only adult that saw the incident so didn't want other people to think I slaped her hand for no reason. So now she's officially scared of me.

Back to when she saw marsya was holding her things or riding her car, she'll cry to her nenek or mak ciks. Upon seeing this, of course they'll try to persuade the brat to give a chance for marsya to play for a while, untuk cukupkan syarat aje. Because they know the brat won't let it. So the next thing this people did was, take whatever she wants from marsya and gave it to her. Easy huh…But when it comes to Mia's things, I'll have to hear her whining for half an hour baru dpt balik benda tu because they don't want to grab that thing from the brat, sbb nti dia menangis, so they'll just keep on pujuk on and on and on…smp la dia bg blk. They just don't care if Mia/Marsya cries but they care very much if that brat cries. Fair huh?

Pls help me God! I officially hate that annoying brat! I even hate the name! I don't feel guilty because there are so many people around her that pampered and spoiled her. But I do feel silly for having a 2 year old as an enemy. Shame on me but I just can't help it. Handling 3 kids really tiring me physically and mentally. Try imagine this situation. Baby J is asleep. Mia & Marsya were playing in the room. I got out of the room for a while to take wudhu' for Asar. Mia opened the bedroom door and both of them got out of the room. While I was in the bathroom, I heard SIL#2 said 'eh! Hanim! Jgn buat mcm tu… sabar la dulu…' (something like that, I can't remember). Next thing I know, marsya was crying. When I got out of bathroom Mia told me hanim pulled her car sampai marsya terjatuh. At that moment, Marsya was still crying followed me into the bedroom. Baby J woke up. Now both of them crying. I got tensed up coz I was thinking how am I going to pray now?

The thing that really boiled me up was, there were few adults that watched the incident. The nenek, the brat's father and the mak cik. Why didn't any of these people do something before marsya fell down???? Ok I don't mind the mak cik coz she's a pregger. But what was that father doing when the annoying daughter pulled marsya?????? Is he blind or just plain idiot?! So pissed off! I knew he took his daughter out to the front porch after the incident, which is near to my bedroom. And I knew he could hear me clearly so I just let go my anger to Mia (poor girl!). Blamed her for letting marsya out from the room. I stressed the part where it's difficult for me to pray now when both girls are crying. I really hope he heard that so that he could learn something. Unless, of course, if he's too idiot to learn anything!

Raya Movie

I know raya is over but i've been planning to blog about these 3 movies that i watched during last raya. This year's raya, as compared to last 2-3 rayas, the movies are much nicer. Not sure about Astro tho coz i don't have one here. Here are my fav 3:

Cinta

I was quite sceptical to watch it at first because this film won best film last year. so i thot 'is it going to be like Yasmin A's films that won for 2 years in a row so patut nyer citer tu best giler but to me it's nothing to shout about'. Unlike Yasmin A's movies which very classic but biasa2 aje, this movie also biasa2 je but ntah la... i like it mabbe because ada 5 different stories dlm 1 movie ni kot. It's simple but very catchy. Love it!

Waris Jari Hantu

I was Shumi's films fan starting from Selubung to Ringgit Kasorga (not sure how it spelled) but when it comes to the Pontianaks movies i gave up coz first, am not a fan of horror movies, secondly, i tak faham langsung that movies (pt 1-3). Probably because i tertido half way thru it. When she came out with this one, i thot it was like the pontianaks. But it actually not. It's a story about a male had a transexual. Plus ada comedy part here and there. Onething i'm not satisfied is why MK's name as the lead actor padahal Rusdi. He's the lead in this movie and he deserve the best actor award that he won last year. Mmg best!

Ayat-Ayat Cinta

My fav Indon movie at the moment. Memula tgk mmg tak faham. It was so slow plus the quality of the picture tak best sgt but later on till the end mmg best! When they first launch this, it was quite contravercial. They said among other thing-- 'menjatuhkan martabat wanita muslim'. Yes, poligamy is always a benefit to men instead of women. But that's not what this movie is about. It's more about the sacrifice of a woman to save the life of 3 humans. I also especially love the ost song by the lovely Rossa with the same title as the film. Very, very nice!
So there goes 3 of my fav for this year. If am not mistaken, the last time i've this fav movie was when i was still using my frenster blog. Where i compared Yasmin A's Sepet with Gol & Gincu. Not to say Yasmin's movies (another one that i watched was Gubra) tak best. I admit that the prop, settings and all mmg lawa and very classic. But jln cerita dia biasa je. So that's it for now. (Actually, the reason why i'm writing about movies is because am trying to distract myself from blogging what is actually in my heart. I'm afraid if i spill too much beans, people will get bored of it.)
**Special Note: To mommy-on-the-loose, TQ so much for the lovely crib set for baby J. Her crib now looks much nicer and neater! Will post a photo in my next post.
