This conversation happened about 2 months back, when I recently found out that i'm expecting again. It took place in the car, on our way to get some (my craving for) beef sate in TTDI Jaya.
Hub: Among your friends, paling ramai, berapa orang anak diorg?
Me: My close friends? Yang kat Bukit Jelutong tu la kot (referring to my dear friend, Fida)... 4 orang anak dia.
Hub: Tapi diorg tu dah lama kahwin kan?
Me: A'ah.. since 2000. Kalau yang sama batch kahwin dengan kita, nampaknya kita la yang paling advance.
Hub: Dah rezeki....
Among my close friends that got married the same year i.e in 2003, that I could name some, are Yaya, Nazelyna & Amnah. And let me see.. Yaya with 3 kids, Naz with 2 kids and expecting newborn in late Jan, 2012, and Amnah with 1. And I'm expecting our 4th!
Syukur, yes memang syukur Alhamdulillah with this rezeki. Cuma we're a bit terkejut je ;-)
My hub asked me to get rid all... yes ALL of the baby stuffs when I was spring cleaned the house for Raya 2009. I got rid most of the stuffs yang memang dah tak boleh pakai. Some of the stuffs like baby tub, carrier & walker are at my sis. The stroller, that we got since Mia, has been our 'trolley' to transport our groceries from the car to our house in 3rd floor. So you can just imagine the condition.
Baby cot? Huh.. it's in the store room just waiting for my hub to throw that away. Memang dah tak boleh nak pakai lagi dah. Other baby item, like toys, clothes, etc.. the good ones are at my mom's and some we're thrown away.
I even got rid some of my maternity clothes and some I purposely kept it at my mom's just in case if my SIL would be pregnant (which she did not long after). As if it was planned, not long after my SIL gave birth (2 days before Raya 2011), I found out that I was pregnant, about 2nd week that same Raya. Shamelessly, I called up my brother asking about my maternity jeans. Luckily, my SIL didn't use that jeans, and when i took it back, I knew why she didn't! Getah dah tercabut sana sini! Obviously I was not the last person who use it.
You see, my sis and I shared or rather take turn in using the maternity clothes that we have. Lucky enough we NEVER got pregnant at the same time. She was the last one to use the maternity clothes when she was carrying his son, Ali. So you can imagine the condition of the jeans lah kan.
Looks like we are going to have to start from scratch for this baby. If it's a boy, i'm pretty sure the hub wouldn't mind buying new stuff... or is he? Entah la.. just wait and see.
