BUSTED!

Yes, i was busted by the hub for stopping Mia's Iqra' lessons. He was asking Mia about what she learnt in school that day and whether she has any homeworks, bla bla bla, the usual conversation he had with his daughter, inside the car on our way back home after fetching him from work. My mulut so gatal, told him about the Kumon books. First he said he didn't mind to spend that amount of money for kids' educational books. He then said he believe that for Maths, they really need to practice a lot. So no need for Kumon center or tuition. 

From there he said, that i have to continue teaching her Iqra' because we didn't enroll her into KAFA or SRA. But he also said that, i just need to finish all the Iqra' books with her. After that, he'll take over teaching her the Quran. I asked him, how many Iqra' books are there? To which he replied, manalah i tau.. google la. So when we reached home, i googled there are 6 Iqra' books and Mia was few pages away in finishing Iqra' 3. Dengan excited nyer, i pun terus start balik. Not just after Maghrib, but even after Zuhr and Asr. Nak cepat habis punya pasal.

Then, baru teringat, yes she has started Iqra' 4 now so 2 more books, the hub will take over. But then it'll be just the right time to start with her sister pulak. Adoii... kena start balik from book 1-6 for Marsya and then same process again for Jannah huhuhu.. 

I suddenly got the idea of sending the other 2 to two kindi, morning at REAL then afternoon at Genius Aulad. Do you think it's a good idea? AT that age, do you think they can cope? It'll be better than sending them to SK & KAFA/SRA for 6 years, no? Sigh! Kesian la pulak kan.

Speaking of my no.2, rasa guilty tak sudah². Like i've mentioned in my previous post, i haven't had the chance to sit and teach her anything. Not even flashcards. I have the intentions over and over again. But..... the execution? Don't know when is it going to happen.

What makes me even guilty, it's this book:

It's a short story about how all the fishes and others plan for a surprise birthday party for whale. At the same time it teaches the kids about shapes, colors, numbers, patterns. Plus also the name of the creatures living under the sea. I bought this book for Marsya during the school hols in March (during the hub's away for forty days) at Alamanda. I picked this for her and she loves it. Keep asking me to read it for her.

And when i read to her, i asked her what (creature) is this? To my surprise, she knows almost ALL of them: Shark, Sea Horse, Turtle (siap ada slang ye), Crab, Octopus, Star Fish, Jelly fish...and of course whale. Then when it comes to shapes, well actually this i already knew she knows i think somewhere last year lagi, she knows all the basics. Square, Triangle, Circle and Rectangle and also star-shape and heart-shape.

Err.. why am i feeling guilty about these? Because I don't know how she learnt all these. I guess it must come from Mia la kot. But seriously i have no idea when was the learning/teaching sessions. Kesian la dia! But right now, i'm quite tied with Mia. Not only for Iqra but i'm also her tutor. I have to make time la. Really, i have to make time for my other 2 girls instead of making excuses! 

Wishlist: Home

We've moved here over 2 years already but the house is still not fully furnished. One of the main reason is because of lack of budget to buy everything in one go. We bought things progressively when we have some extra money. Other reason is because, we can't decide on what to buy. Which furniture would be suitable for this house and the people in the house.

It's quite tricky to furnish and arrange things in this house because of the layout. I've mentioned this in one of the entry here. But I have few ideas in mind of what i want to buy and how i want it to be arranged. Here are some of the things:

1. I want a pantry for this corner. One with door, preferably. The measurement is 100cm width & 29cm depth. Don't mind the height, the higher the better. When i browse Ikea hardcopy catalogue, i couldn't find anything that fit the depth. Found this Billy's bookcase. The depth is just nice but was hoping to look for something in 100cm width. Billy's here is only 80 cm W. Best of all it has doors.

2. We don't have sofas. We had to disposed the one that we had in our Ampang's house. For sofa idea, since both hub and i love to watch tv before we go to bed (we ended up sleeping in front of the tv most of the time) so i think i want to suggest a sofa bed to him. Ikea has several designs on that and it's not cheap but I'm not so sure how reliable are they. But i also like their KLIPPAN. So maybe a sofa bed (not necessarily from Ikea) and maybe a KLIPPAN for the living room.

3. For my bare kitchen wall here, i want a shelf. I want something very practical. I planned to put my microwave and also an oven.... when i actually get myself one hihi. In this pix here is GRUNDTAL. 

4. At the moment, we are using a bar table (Udden console) for dining. The hub planned to have a proper dining table and coincidentally we thought of round table. Not sure why, but i always visualised it to be a round table in white with chairs something like URBAN. Why something like? The dining chairs in Ikea is so expensive and it is sold individually. 

5. I would also want a rattan set of small dining table and 2 seater chairs for my balcony. It'll be nice to have tea or breakfast there since it is very spacious. But first, i planned to have it close with blinds and probably have some plants and flowers.

6. Since the layout of this house is very straight forward i.e. there's no partition from my kitchen to dining & to living room, I thought of having this bookcase to divide the dining and living room. Couldn't get the picture right, i actually wanted it in white. Then i can arranged all of our books here. Well maybe not all but the books that we read frequently. And since i planned to have a sofa bed there, maybe we can also do some reading before going to bed.

7. We probably need a new fridge. 2 doors maybe. Yes, because we can't hide this fridge. We don't have enough room to hide it away from the view of guests. It's standing in between the kitchen and dining. Very visible so we ought to find something better looking.. maybe. And also because we can't store enough for a month supply hihi ;-p

Rooms and bathrooms? Sigh! I haven't really thought about it yet. But hub and i think that beds are bulky. It takes most of the space in the room. Then there's wardrobe. It'll all crowded the rooms. So we haven't really have any thought about it. 

That's the end of my daydreams.. hope one day all these will come true. The perfect way to end this daydream is the pix of my dream apartment. It's from SATC movie, Carrie's (old) refurbished apartment and Big & Carrie's new apartment. Do you think this can come true?
